On 6 December 2022, QinetiQ officially completed its acquisition of Air Affairs Australia and Aerospace Training Services, creating QinetiQ Air Affairs and resulting in ATS becoming a QinetiQ company.

The recent acquisition of Air Affairs Australia and Aerospace Training Services by QinetiQ capitalises on an exciting opportunity to unlock greater value for our Defence and industry customers, combining QinetiQ’s global threat representation, T&E expertise and Air Affairs’ threat representation and mission rehearsal capabilities to create a market leader in threat representation, training, test and evaluation in Australia.

Aerospace Training Services (ATS) is a nationally-accredited training provider of quality aircraft maintenance training, from Pre-Apprenticeship level through to aircraft-specific Types Courses. Certificate levels range from Aeroskills Certificate II through to Diploma level in Mechanical and Avionics, and Aviation Certificate III (specifically flight attendant training). ATS also provides industry-specific training including human factors, de-icing, refuelling and life-support fitting.

We cater to a range of client-focused flexible delivery options, including distance education, eLearning and on-site training solutions for maximum convenience and minimal disruption.

Aerospace Training Services, based in Nowra, NSW, continues to provide quality aviation maintenance training and training support to the Australian Defence Force and is a recognised training organisation (RTO), CASA Part 147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) and CAR 30 Australian Training Provider.
